Sitar player and composer Anoushka Shankar is a singular figure in the Indian classical and progressive world music scenes. Her dynamic and spiritual musicality has garnered several prestigious accolades including six Grammy® Award nominations. A range of recordings from Indian classical ragas to her more creatively experimental work has already produced 10 highly-acclaimed albums and a DVD film-score to the Indian silent movie epic, Shiraz (1928).
