the town hall gallery
The Town Hall Gallery was founded in 1999, on the mezzanine level of the Hall. Photos, programs and live Town Hall recordings are displayed offering audience members a taste of the Hall's colorful history. From birth control advocate Margaret Sanger being dragged off the stage in 1921 ... to offering African-American soprano Marian Anderson a debut when other venues denied her one ... to Bob Dylan's legendary debut ... throughout the years The Town Hall has been the Hall for everyone, hosting musicians, dancers, politicians, actors and more.
